New Inn Surgery
PRACTICE CLOSURE -
PATIENTS TO RE-REGISTER AT ANOTHER PRACTICE ASAP
Sadly the recent attempts to resolve the premises issue of New Inn Surgery have not resulted in a positive outcome.
It has been agreed between the Practice and the CGG that the closure process cannot be reversed, as the future of the practice at London Road premises cannot be assured.
New Inn Surgery will proceed to close on 22nd November 2019.
All patients should refer to the letter they received from the CCG in September and should re-register at an alternative GP Practice, as soon as possible.
New Inn will be changing its appointment system and you should be aware that advanced pre-bookable appointments will no longer be available. Instead a limited number of book on the day appointments will be available.
We urge patients to re-register as soon as possible. If you do not, then after 22nd November you will be left without a GP and unable to see a doctor. You need to be registered with a GP before you can make an appointment at any GP practice. Please refer to the letter you received from the CCG which outlines the process required and list of practices to consider.
The CCG is holding drop in sessions to help patients complete the re-registering process. If you would like help or to know more about your choices please come along to these sessions which are taking place at New Inn Surgery on:
Tuesday 5th November @ 16:00 to 19:00
Wednesday 6th November @9:00 to 12:00
We are so sorry that the practice is closing but every effort has been made by all parties to find a solution.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Welcome to New Inn Surgery's interactive website.
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
It is now possible to access some of your medical record, order repeat prescriptions and make appointments online. To do this you will need to have an email address registered with the practice. If you would like to use this service, write to us (with a return stamped address envelope) giving us your current contact details including phone numbers and email address. We will send you the information you need to register on line. Alternatively, come into the surgery with this information and we can print out your PIN and log in directly.
New Inn Surgery is currently unable to accept new patient registrations
The Practice has reached its capacity and we are not accepting new patients at present. Please go to 'Latest News' for further details.
Extra GP Appointments
New Inn Surgery has joined with other practices in the Guildford & Waverley locality to provide extra routine GP appointments. This is in response to increasing pressures on GP services and is part of the national ‘Extended Access’ programme being introduced across the country. The programme will increase capacity in General Practice by offering availability to the public 7 days per week and provide patients with the additional choice of being able to see a health practitioner on any weekday evening and at weekends. The service has been commissioned from ProCare Health Ltd by Guildford & Waverley CCG and appointments take place at Fairlands Practice or Binscombe Medical Centre.
GO TO 'LATEST NEWS' FOR FURTHER INFO.
For patients who are unable to access patient services during normal hours, New Inn Surgery provides evening pre-booked appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays. See the noticeboard or opening times for more information.
Those over 75 years of age
All patients over 75 years are now entitled to have a named doctor to be primarily responsible for their day time care. This does not mean that other doctors might not be involved since at New Inn, there is often only one doctor on the premises at a time. However, one doctor will be coordinating any medical services required.
We can offer longer appointments with a member of the clinical team to help better manage those people with chronic illness/co-morbidities. This is in order to develop personalised care plans for these people should they become unwell when the surgery is closed.
We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.
Access & Accessible Information
The surgery premises have access for wheelchairs. If you need assistance please ask at reception. We are able to provide you with information in various formats to suit your access requirements; go to the Accessibility Information page for more details.
